Lead Neurohardware Engineer

We’re building CHUB smart glasses and non-peripheral communication modules from the ground up. You will lead design and prototyping of EEG, fNIRS, IMU, PPG, EDA, and thermal sensors, integrating mixed-signal ASICs at 10–12 nm nodes. Your work ensures minimal form factor, sub-50 ms latency, sub-1 µV noise floors, and skin-safe optics while supporting helmet, backpack, and belt-pack deployments.


Responsibilities


• Architect and prototype multi-layer PCBs for left-temple analog front ends and right-temple digital/radio circuits

• Integrate dry and semi-dry electrodes in bridge, rim, and temple tips; spring-loaded NIR sources/detectors in brow pads

• Specify and validate ASICs (preamps, ADCs, NPUs) using 10–12 nm nodes with secure enclave support

• Define mechanical interfaces for backpack/neckband power-compute packs and optional ECoG clinical grids

• Lead bench, phantom, and thermal testing; iterate to meet IEC 60601-1 and optical safety thresholds


Qualifications:


• MS or PhD in EE, Bio-engineering, or related field

• 5+ years in neural interface hardware or medical device design

• Hands-on experience with mixed-signal ASICs, sensor integration, and PCB layout

• Proven track record of prototype validation, thermal/biocompatibility testing, and regulatory compliance

Embedded AI & Firmware Engineer

You will build the on-device data pipeline and real-time fusion models for CHUB glasses and edge packs. Your firmware ensures artifact removal (RANSAC, ICA-lite), wavelet denoising, hierarchical EEG–NIRS detection, and affective state estimation under sub-200 ms end-to-end budgets. You’ll optimize inference on low-power NPUs, manage BLE/ULE radios, and support retrieval-augmented non-peripheral communication protocols.


Responsibilities


• Develop and optimize DSP pipelines: bandpass, synchronous demodulation, and artifact rejection

• Implement NPU-accelerated neural models for ERP detection, neurovascular coupling, and anomaly alerts

• Maintain sub-50 ms event marker latency and secure telemetry with AES-GCM and forward-secure keys

• Build firmware for belt-pack compute modules: data fusion, GNSS forensic timing, LTE/5G connectivity

• Collaborate on one-tap SAFE macros, mode switching (Personal/Clinical/Research), and post-deployment monitoring


Qualifications:


• BS/MS in CS, EE, or equivalent with 3+ years in embedded AI or medical firmware

• Expertise in real-time signal processing, TensorFlow Lite Micro, and low-power NPU toolchains

AI & Neurohardware Operations Technician

You’ll partner with engineers to assemble EEG/fNIRS smart-glasses prototypes, manage lab workflows, and handle shipping, receiving, and inventory coordination with HR.


Responsibilities:


• Collaborate with neurohardware and embedded AI engineers on prototype builds and integration

• Assemble and wire sensor modules (EEG electrodes; NIR sources/detectors; IMU/PPG/EDA boards)

• Design and produce enclosures, mounts, and test fixtures using SolidWorks or popular 3D-printing software
